October 13, 2014Premier Ag recently met with Siemer Milling Company to discuss a new wheat terminal expected to open in the Spring of 2015 in Harrison, Ohio.
The $45 million flour mill is a partnership between Cincinnati-based Nagel & Son and Illinois-based Siemer Milling. The site is expected to produce approximately 500 tons of flour per year and will require seven to eight million bushels of wheat annually.
Company officials said they will look to farmers in neighboring states, including Indiana, to meet their needs for high-quality wheat.
“We feel that this provides a great opportunity for Premier Ag growers to maximize production on an acre through intense wheat management, followed by second crop soybeans,” said Mark Canary, Vice President of Agronomy. “This is another choice for growers when they make crop production decisions.”
